I ordered a Volkmann bobtailed commander with my initials custom designed by Luke and then engraved on the rear of the slide to make it a truly bespoke pistol.  On the first day I received the pistol and shot it, the accuracy was outstanding and the functionality with multiple different types of ammo was flawless. The only issue I have is now I want one of all of his 1911 models!

I’ve held, shot and photographed many a Volkmann and I think Luke builds a phenomenal gun.  Over the years I’ve detected a pattern in his builds:  elegant, simple, beautifully finished, they run well and they’re hard to part with!

Rarity is the most valuable thing to any collector.  In the 1911 world the big names are making big production numbers. Luke is a true craftsman and releases a very limited number of guns.  This alone makes them high collectible. 

If you know right from wrong then you buy a Volkmann when your shopping for a Custom 1911.

As a real estate professional I have always been encouraged to carry for safety.  I now carry a Combat Carry in 9mm with Mammoth grips. It’s a beautiful gun but more importantly is very easy to use, accurate and I feel 110% confident shooting it.
